Campaign organiser John Rhind is seen handing a list of supporters calling for improved safety at Swinhoe to County Councillor and North East Combined Authority Mayoral Candidate, Guy Renner-Thompson.
The campaign calls for a radical redesign of the crossroads at Swinhoe just west of Beadnell which has been the scene of multiple road traffic accidents dating back to 1928.
In addition to the support of more than 1000 residents, MP Anne-Marie Trevelyan and Bamburgh, North Sunderland and Beadnell Parish Councils have all registered their support for the aims of the campaign
The campaign will be presented at a meeting of a County Councillors in the New Year.
